DAYS & NIGHTS, 2023

Days & Nights delves into the intricate tapestry of the mind-body relationship, weaving a thematic exploration between the two. It evokes the experience of inhabiting a body that mirrors our emotions and engages with the conflicts posed by the rational mind. This duality works in both directions, as we may foster unrealistic expectations and privilege the mind, accidentally eclipsing the rich experiences that the body affords.

Drawing inspiration from the thought of Alexander Lowen who said in his book Pleasure: “A man can believe that he possesses his mind, but he never fully possesses his body. There are processes in the body which the mind can never comprehend or control - the beat of the heart, the surge of feeling, the longing of love. And because the mind cannot fully control the body, it is afraid of the body as it is of unknown forces in nature.”

NICE TO MEET YOU, 2023

These 18 graphics skillfully blend contemporary print textures with traditional hand embroidery, resulting in visually stunning compositions. By incorporating fabric and screen printing techniques, the artist has crafted images that depict snapshots and sketches from everyday life. Each artwork provides a glimpse into a specific moment, encouraging viewers to delve deeper into the intricate details. While the graphics exude a modern aesthetic, they also pay tribute to the historical significance of fabric and hand embroidery, adding depth and cultural resonance to the series.

The collection made its debut in London as part of the New Designers annual exhibition in 2017.

HIMALUSH, 2017

The capsule collection is a visual representation of the highs and lows of a hiking trip in the Himalayas. It captures the warm sunshine, lush greenery, and awe-inspiring landscapes, as well as the potential dangers of avalanches, monsoon storms, and altitude sickness. The collages combine seemingly disparate elements, creating a sense of magic and wonder that mirrors the unpredictability of nature.

FOUND OBJCTS

FOUND OBJECTS, 2016

Inspired by Robert Rauschenberg's assemblage technique, this collection of printed fabrics utilizes everyday objects in unconventional ways. Objects such as food packaging, bottle tops, and fabric scraps are transformed into textured collages, incorporating their textures, typography, graphics, and colors. By giving these discarded materials a new life, this collection serves as a visual commentary on the issue of mass consumption and excessive waste production.
